Welcome
Online tools are rapidly changing the way in which governments and government agencies engage the public in important decision making processes. Used correctly, online tools have the capacity to better engage larger portions of the public and to engage them in more meaningful ways.
However, online tools are best used to supplement, not replace traditional forms of public engagement. Overuse or misuse of online tools can lead to bad outcomes and tarnished reputations.
Our “Using Online Tools to Support Public Participation” training is designed to help government officials and public participation professionals understand the spectrum of tools available to them, how to select the right tool for the job, and how to integrate online tools with traditional means of engaging the public.
See our schedule for upcoming trainings or contact us at, training@onlinetools4p2.org, to schedule a training for your agency or professional association.
